9.12.25 // Free the Nipple: a feminist crochet workshop for all!
In an era of antifeminist blacklash and sex-negative internet censorship and shadow banning, we want to come together to FREE THE NIPPLE! Whatever your gender, whether you have nips or not, join us to crochet our very own nips as a playful symbol of resistence to censorship.
What to expect?
Stella and Than from Polycathaus are coming all the way from Athens to host two days of sex-posi crochet fun at Other Nature and we are sooo excited! Their crochet stress-boobies and clits, as well as their 3D printed polycat keyrings and carrot floggers have been gracing our shelves for several years now, much to the continued delight of our customers!
If you want to learn the basics of crocheting in the round and want a short, simple and fun project, this workshop is for you! We will learn how to crochet individual nipples and then attach them on whatever you bring! Materials for the nipples included, feel free to bring your own item (eg T-shirt, tote bag etc) to attach them on. This class is beginner and advanced beginner friendly.
Your facilitators
Stella is a queer 90s baby that has been dabbling in 3d printing and various fiber arts such as crochet and embroidery for the past few years. She gets most of her ideas while she's sleeping so she keeps a little notebook by her bed to write them down. She is one half of the project Polycat Haus and will be leading these workshops
Than is a non binary multidisciplinary artist that is the second half of the Polycat Haus project. They will be Stella’s lovely assistant for these workshops.
