Glitter responsibly - made even easier!
Formulated from plant-based glitter and pure aloe vera gel, the glitter paste is ready to use - no additional adhesives are needed. The glitter gel can be applied as lightly or thickly as desired and lasts super glittery all night.
The environmentally friendly glitter contained in the gel is almost completely plastic-free (<5%). It is made in Germany from plant-based materials such as eucalyptus tree pulp and cellulose, and lovingly mixed and packaged on site in Berlin.
Biodegradable glitter is designed to decompose in the natural environment, unlike traditional plastic glitter that can take hundreds of years to degrade. The process of biodegradation occurs when the glitter comes into contact with microbes in the soil, water or air. These microorganisms consume the cellulose and break down the glitter into smaller pieces and then into natural compounds such as CO2, water and biomass. The process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on conditions and the size of the biodegradable glitter.
What is the glitter in the gel made of?
72 % CELLULOSE BASE
Gives the glitter its structure. Cellulose is the main substance found in plant cell walls.
25 % TOP COAT
11 % glycerin, 6 % water, 5 % styrene, 3 % urea
Gives the glitter its bright colors
- Ethically and sustainably sourced raw materials
- Globally cosmetic compliant; free from substances that are harmful to the skin
- Vegan; produced without animal testing
The glitter gel comes in small glass jars that are both sustainable and practical as well as decorative (20 grams each). The application is as easy as finger painting: use a pea-sized amount of gel and gently dab it onto the skin. The gel applies thick and smooth, dries instantly and lasts all weekend (Project Glitter tested it themselves!). It is easily removed with warm water and wipes.
