Sparkle - Biodegradable Body Glitter by Projekt Glitter

€6,90

Glitter responsibly! The environmentally friendly glitter from Projekt Glitter is almost completely plastic-free (<5%). It is made in Germany from plant-based materials such as eucalyptus tree pulp and cellulose, and lovingly mixed and packaged on site in Berlin.

Biodegradable glitter is designed to decompose in the natural environment, unlike traditional plastic glitter that can take hundreds of years to degrade. The process of biodegradation occurs when the glitter comes into contact with microbes in the soil, water or air. These microorganisms consume the cellulose and break down the glitter into smaller pieces and then into natural compounds such as CO2, water and biomass. The process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on conditions and the size of the biodegradable glitter.
