This workshop is designed for individuals interested in cultural storytelling, creative expression, and learning new artistic techniques through a Pan-African lens. No prior experience in storytelling or shibari is required.

Oya is the founder of AFROSOMA. A black paradigm whose mission is to support the preservation and transmission of ancestral African knowledge while encouraging its integration into contemporary practices through three dedicated departments: Research, Education, and Arts. Beyond this, Oya employs the lenses of photography and literature in their ethnographic pursuits, unearthing ancient African knowledge to create a vital archive regarding African literacy before colonization. This innovative approach intertwines ethnography, gender studies, somatic practices, and mindfulness, forging a rich tapestry for understanding Black Liberation.

Note: The Workshop is for QT*BIPoC only. The Workshop will be held in English.
