Befriending Shame, Expanding Choice 06.04
This workshop will take place online.
Shame is deeply entwined with sexuality and queerness under the dominant systems of power that shape our lives & communities. since we have been shaped by this shame our whole lives & back through generations before, we all already have practices and patterns around shame, but are they working for us, in our current realities?
In this skillshop, you'll learn what shame really is, how it functions as a survival response whose true purpose is to sustain connection & cocreate culture, and how to unwind its intensity through somatic practice. you'll begin to map your own nervous system in a destigmatizing way to deepen your authentic relationship to yourself & your sexuality, and liberate more agency even within the constraints oppressive culture.
Hannah is a leatherdyke, somatics practitioner & facilitator who lives as a settler on unceded Kanien’kehá:ka territories colonially known as Montréal. She’s white, cis, neuroweird, and deeply obsessed with radical queer lineages of desire & power as vectors of liberatory practice that unravel shame to reweave resilient kinship webs.
