EL BOUM is Jasmina El Bouamraoui, a Berlin-based illustrator and artist. Inspired by queer aesthetics, EL BOUM creates characters and urban scenarios in bright colors and striking shapes. Not interested in the ordinary, EL BOUM challenges viewers to question stereotypes of all kinds, using illustration as a tool to show a vision of a world without them. In the puzzle motif “Let's Cheer, We're Queer”, EL BOUM celebrates the queer spirit of Berlin and draws a snapshot of this world.
This puzzle feels like a warm summer evening in the city: you grab a cold mate at the Späti and then it's off to the balcony. The days are still long and you'll be puzzling late into the night. The monochrome surfaces can be tricky at times, but then it's time to stay cool, put on your puzzle soundtrack and hire some friends!
