Needle play is all about endorphins and risk assessment; it can also be a revelatory, ritualistic, aesthetic, pleasurable - and painful! - practice that allows us to explore our bodily connection (with ourselves and others), boundaries, and trust.

Join us in learning the basics of this kink practice, as we delve into techniques, safety and risk reduction (for ourselves as players and for the environment), aesthetics, joy and the potentials of piercing. We will use disposable hypodermic needles (supplied by organisers), vegetables as preliminary practice surfaces, and only practice on other humans after individual and collective agreement. We will talk about health risks, pathogen propagation, environment, and accidents.

Please note: this is a hands-on workshop. The workshop will prioritize safety, but still it involves risks, so please participate at your own risk only.

Together we will decide the content, scope and rhythm taking into account the knowledge, needs, possible body limitations and personal preferences of everybody in the room. This is a non-hierarchical event for adults, based on explicit consent. The workshop is for all genders but centered in the needs of queer people and other marginalised groups. If you have special needs or wishes please let us know beforehand.

CW: needles, possibility of blood, health care related equipment.
